Our Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex manga is uncensored.
Our The Ghost In The Shell manga, at Kodansha’s request, is censored in one place (there’s a gratuitous sexual scene that I believe is missing from our edition). This decision was made years ago when the series was still with Dark Horse, I believe. Just like with Akira, we’re essentially just reprinting those Dark Horse editions (we’re using the same translations/lettering), so any edits made back then are still present.

Yeah, the original editions of GITS from Dark Horse were edited in the 90s. Then they put out uncensored ones. Not sure why Kodansha chose the latter, other than they didn’t want it to be polybagged. - zerudah said:
